CAMS-4TEENS
This is a follow-up training for providers that have already been trained in the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) Framework. The CAMS-4Teens half-day training covers multiple aspects of youth suicide risk and treatment, beginning briefly with an overview of prevalence rates and trends in youth suicide and self-harm (particularly for demographics with increasing rates and risk). Participants will also receive a brief review of the CAMS initial assessment and treatment framework, along with recommendations and numerous tips for implementing the CAMS model with teens. New video demonstrations of using CAMS with youth are included. Issues specific to working with teens and their families are covered.

TRAINING PRESENTERS
AMY BRAUSCH
Dr. Amy Brausch is a Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Western Kentucky University and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Kentucky. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University and has worked with issues of suicide and self-injury in adolescents and adults in both her clinical work and research program.
KURT MICHAEL
Dr. Kurt Michael is the Stanley R. Aeschleman Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Appalachian State University (ASU). He was trained at the University of Colorado – Boulder (B.A., cum laude), Utah State University (M.S., Ph.D.), and Duke University Medical Center (Clinical Psychology Internship). Dr. Michael teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and his primary areas of research and clinical practice are adolescent suicide assessment and prevention, school mental health, depression, rural healthcare, substance abuse disorders, and conduct disorders.
3.75 CEs for Ohio Counselors, Social Workers, and Psychologists will be provided to those who complete the entire training.
